The Role
You’ll oversee installation, maintenance and repair of our advanced glass processing machinery—cutting tables, tempering lines, IGU units and more—ensuring uptime, safety and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing preventative and predictive maintenance
- Leading breakdown responses and root-cause analysis
- Managing spare parts and contractor engagements
- Driving continuous improvement through Lean or TPM methodologies
- Training and supporting operators and team leaders
- Maintaining compliance with Australian WHS standards and record-keeping
Who We’re Looking For
We seek an experienced, safety-conscious technician who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment:
Essential:
- 3+ years in industrial maintenance (mechanical or electrical)
- Strong WHS knowledge and safe work practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Flexibility to perform maintenance outside standard hours
- Highly organised, reliable, independent and team-oriented
Desirable:
- Trade-qualified mechanic, electrician, fitter or registered technician in Victoria
- Experience with PLCs and servicing automated production lines
- Familiarity with glass industry equipment
- Competence using CMMS systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
